Overview
A Coastal Sanctuary in the Bodrum Hills
Set along nearly a kilometre of private Aegean coastline on Turkey’s Bodrum Peninsula, Elysian Resort is bordered by a forest reserve and framed by ancient olive groves. From its hillside position, the resort offers far-reaching sea views and a tranquil descent toward a secluded pebble beach, accessed via a gently winding path.
Design Rooted in Heritage
Inspired by the traditional architecture of the region, Elysian Resort ascends in elegant tiers, echoing the form of a hillside village. Its courtyards and terraces provide a sense of intimacy and openness, blending Ottoman and Mediterranean influences with thoughtful restraint. Local stone, soft natural palettes, and hand-crafted details mirror the textures and tones of the landscape, allowing the property to settle seamlessly into its surroundings.
Private Pavilions with Pools and Gardens
The resort comprises 35 standalone Pavilions, each measuring 75 square metres and set within its own private garden. Interiors include a four-poster bed, dining and writing areas, two lounge sofas, and a traditional Turkish fireplace. Sunlight filters through the windows into spacious marble bathrooms, where deep bathtubs overlook leafy garden views. Underfloor heating and handwoven Turkish textiles from Istanbul bring warmth and refinement to every space.
Each Pavilion includes a private grey-green marble swimming pool—some square, others rectangular—flanked by pergolas, daybeds, and shaded loungers. Several pools are heated during cooler months, allowing year-round enjoyment of the outdoor setting.
Facilities Woven into the Landscape
Pebbled paths connect the Pavilions to the main resort buildings, which include a gracious arrival pavilion, a 50-metre central pool, a three-storey library, tennis court, boutique, gallery, and two serene spa suites. These shared spaces maintain the same architectural tone, echoing the rhythm of the surrounding hills.
Seasonal Dining with Aegean Influence
Dining at Elysian Resort reflects the rich microclimates of the region and the abundance of seasonal produce. Aegean and Turkish flavours appear across multiple settings, from the tranquil Pool Dining Pavilion and the atmospheric Wine Cellar to the rooftop BBQ Terrace and Anatolian Dining Pavilion, which offers a rotating chef’s menu rooted in Ottoman and Mediterranean traditions.
For a lighter mood, the Beach Club lies 500 metres west, tucked beside the trees on a secluded headland. Its series of terraces, pebble beach, jetty, and offshore pontoon offer a relaxed setting for seafood lunches, Turkish meze, or evening cocktails by the water.
